Removed vinyl between windows pics?

I am debating removing the black vinyl that is between the front and rear windows on the doors but haven't seen many pics of people who have done it. Can you post up if you have any pics? Silver hopefully if you got it.

Peel slowly

 

Is use a hair dryer to heat it up and make it plyable. Then peel slowly and when you feel resistance, use hair dryer again to heat it up.

 

I'm in Texas. No heat gun was required. Just park the truck where the sun is hitting it for a few minutes.

 

Are those the Gray TRD wheels?

 

Yes. I think they're called graphite though. I got them from one of those cut throat mail order Toyota dealerships on eBay.

Easy to take off too. I didn't use heat, just went slow and steady.

 

I did this a long time ago on my Ram 1500, and loved the look. Now I have a black Taco, and you wouldn't be able to tell.

 

I’ve been deciding on whether to remove it or not. Here’s a pic.... looks like crap.

I always peel sooner rather than later. Any car I have ever owned, emblems, decals, whatever. They come off quick when I get it. The longer you wait, the greater problems you will have regarding being hard to get off, and paint fade or ghosting once you do remove it. Here in Texas, a year of sun can ghost the paint and it will show when you do remove it.

 

Completely off topic, saw your profile pic and it's funny that I didn't realize till this week that Jerry Reed played the mean coach in Waterboy!

Anyone have a pic of a cement taco with the vinyl removed?

 

Not silver but here is mine. Mostly didn't like how the black tape on one door didn't line up perfectly with the tape on the other.
