I look at auto rifles from a PvP perspective and they just don't compete very well. Every once in a while you'll see a misfit but I think I've only been killed once or twice by one because I was already low health. They just aren't good in PvP in this meta right now. Maybe one day they will return.

Had a ton of fun in Iron Banner last night. Telesto is a blast to kill people with! getting two at once with it is so satisfying! Bygones, Telesto and random grenade launcher is what I used. Being 590 light probably helps! Also got the exotic titan arms that gives super back fast on void, well its surprising how many people keep shooting me and I get super back instantly! A few times I got supper back to back 3 times! I know I've said I don't like pvp here but Telesto might have changed my mind a little last night. Having a team of 4 helps lots too. My clan is pretty low pressure and just for fun.

Now your getting it! Telesto is pretty OP in Crucible right now. I've been seeing it more in the last few days. I personally don't use it and I don't think I've been killed by it yet. But when I hear it go off I know someone is using it so I'll either engage in a different way or watch the ground for the explosive bombs left over. I think what a lot of people forget to do in crucible is to use your vertical space rather than just fighting boots on the ground. If I know someone is around the corner with a shotgun waiting to bait me in I'll just jump through the door or around the corner and that usually throws off their aim for an easy kill. I rarely stay on the ground for any length of time unless it's to shoot from a distance. If I'm closing the gap I'll either dodge, be in the air, or slide shot into them with a shotgun. Even if I trade with someone using a super it's worth it to me and my team as that super is taken out of play.

I've started using Blade Barrage more recently as there pretty much isn't a counter for that super and it will take out any roaming super. In a game mode like IB where people are stacked up trying to cap a point is where it comes in handy. I never use it on just one person and I've never understood someone that does a panic super? It's better to hold on to it and take a death if your being outgunned. Wait until you can at the very least get 2 or more people in one super. I got my first 7th column the other day with arcstaff because I held onto my super until they were all lined up.

One other tip that I see others doing often (which makes for easy kills) is peeking after being shot. If your hit... at best your health is taken to half. I just wait until they peek again and it's one more shot. If I get hit first there is no shame in moving to a different spot and re engaging them or take cover and hope that they rush me. But I will ALWAYS take advantage of a double peek. In fact... I hope they do lol.

But you touched on something about PvP. As long as your playing with friends that communicate then it's a lot of fun. Even if you lose take it as a learning experience and try to figure out how you got outplayed. I have a few hundred GB's of recorded gameplay where I was getting outplayed and I'll go back and watch those matches to figure out what I did wrong. Sometimes it's just bad luck. Other times it's "why the fuck did I do that???" lol.

One other tip for crucible. Never ever run in a straight line. Always try to have a place where you can get into cover. I never just run through the middle of a map. I’m always hugging a wall and if I know there might be someone or a team around a corner I’ll go into third person so I can peek without actually peeking. If it’s just one player and they aren’t paying attention I’ll engage them for an easy kill. If it’s two or more and they know I’m there I won’t engage as it will most likely be a team shot and I lose. If you have to cross a map make sure you have a point you want to get too and be in the air as much as possible to get there as it’s much harder to shoot a moving target from the side. Take cover once you get there and hope they rush you.

I play pretty aggressive so the shotgun is my friend. Just never stay in one place for very long. PvP is dynamic and the longer you stay put the more likely you will die. Keep them guessing and do things they didn’t expect.

I got all the iron banner challenges done in my titan except precision kills because more than half my kills were telesto and pulses dont always get the head shot kill. Got all the armor for titan again so will probably use hunter tonight and get the bounties. How much do you think resistance, recovery help with crucible?iron banner armor is mostly resistance gear i think. I always try and max resistance so I can take more hits. I've seen the video comparisons just want your opinion.

I got all the IB bounties done the first day. I honestly don't know why they lowered them but whatever. Got all the armor and weapons so I'm happy. The armor that Saladman is selling isn't that great for the hunter or my playstyle so I got lucky with the drops.

As far as resilience goes... it depends on the class honesty. Titans have the highest base resilience with Hunters being the lowest. It takes approx 200 hit points to bring another guardian down no matter what unless you are running a Hunter with very low stacked resilience. Since you are running a Titan I personally would focus on putting more points in recovery as your health will come back faster. For pretty much any class a resilience of 4/5 is fine. So stack the some of the rest in recovery. I wouldn't worry too much about mobility. Titans are inherently fast if you learn the art of Titan skating (a little bit harder on console admittedly).

Hunters are inherently squishy but they start off with a much higher mobility stat. Hunters are made for evasion and meant to be played that way. I try to stack 5 resilience which gives me a base of 200. Then put as much as I can in recovery. Mobility on a hunter is based on evasion and the ability to get out of a tight spot where a Titan might be able to tank just a little bit more.

You can use a sword but I wouldn't recommend taking a sword into crucible as they are usually easily countered by a shotgun that has a longer range. The only sword I would recommend is the Worldline Zero as you can peek a corner without peeking and also run into the wall while peeking to activitate Tesseract which allows for a huge lunge into your enemy with almost not counter.

The way I go into third person is to activate an emote. I'll stand at a corner and pet my chicken and peek around the corner. If you watch the kill feed the other team either knows what you're doing or trying to figure out why someone is playing with their cock lol. Either way... using an emote to peek around a corner is an effective way of knowing what is going on on the other side without getting seen.

    Lol... yeah, that definitely helps.

PvP is a mind game. If you can get into someones elses head you've won. Everytime they come up against you they will wonder what trick you might have up your sleeve. Sometimes there is no trick and I just engage them which makes it worse for them. "Shit... he didn't do what he did last time and just came right after me" lol. This is most effective in Trials or competitive where it's 4v4. 6v6 can be mass chaos at times. Map knowledge is key there. Knowing where the spawn points are and when the spawns flip.

One other thing about IB. Once you get everything you want out of it, bank your tokens. That way when the next IB comes along you can turn in your tokens and maybe get some of the new weapons and armor before you even step foot into IB. By the end of this week I'll probably have close to 1000. In 2-3 days I picked up over 300.

One other thing... There is a diminishing return for stacking mods. 2 is fine but anymore doesn't do much good. So if you stack 2 that lower your class abilities so you can get your grenades back sooner. You can stack super mods also but I rarely get less than 3 supers per match so I don't stack those.

Well... I'm down to the bounty part of the quest. I have to complete 20 crucible bounties and then reset my rank 5 times. I've lost track of how many times I've reset honestly so I suppose I'll find out after the bounty quest. It's getting closer.

Played 16 rumble matches so far and finished 1st in every one except the first 2. I've never even stepped foot in rumble because I just don't like the game mode. I'd much rather play with friends. The first match was on the map in the Tangled Shore (forget the name) and I came in last with a .62. Thought "well... this is going to be a fuckstory". Second match wasn't much better with a .86. Then after that I just said fuckit and started playing my game. Seems to have worked. Took me a couple of games to figure out the flow but I've got it now. Watching Cammycakes helped out a bunch since that's about all he plays. He has better map awareness and is able to tell the moves of his opponents better than I. But I've figured out a good strategy.

I will find you. And I will kill you.

Not really, I will spam grenades, pull a panic super, and die 17 times.

Haha I always mean to help the team, but dammit if I don't die a lot too. I think somewhere in the halo 1 days I developed this "sacrificial lamb" mentality by always thinking I can bag the other team on my own.
