dam ...so I got to re do the hub assembly and go to 7 prong wiring to add brakes ? any suggestions ?

 

I figure that the original 14 year old sensors, even if still “good” probably just need to be changed. Might as well do it and hope it lasts another 14 years.

Damn Toyotas. These things should at least last 25 years

 

I have replaced bank 1 o2 sensor once and bank 2 twice already in the 02, fyi those were Bosh sensors

Yup. Pretty easy stuff though. Also, if you’re going 7pin, you might as well put reverse lights on the trailer. The center pin activates when your tow rig is put in reverse.

Looks like a great trip so far. That climb on kane looks wayyy different than it did when I was there many many moons ago

 

Back up lights on the trailer are a great idea

 

I might not do brakes on my trailer, but going 7 pin is great idea just for the back up lights.

 

I just don’t see a lot of clearance for my air impact or my cordless impact.

Am I missing something?

 

Spotted a wild DB in its natural environment

 

All 4 of mine all came out without issue using a 22mm box end. Just have to put some ass into it to crack it loose. Definitely remove the skid.

Impact tool shock can break the other O2 sensors. I’d avoid their use.
