Before and after. Roughly 950-1050 for all parts. Hood and scoop was found on eBay for roughly $650 and paint cost was another $350. Swap took 3 minutes.

 

Could you send me what parts you bought on eBay?

Did you have it painted at a shop and did you buy a TRD Pro hood or have it painted black?

Couldn't find the link for the complete plastic OEM Toyota black scoop. Like I said, it was roughly 180 bucks. I did not paint the scoop. It is a plastic look and I liked it that way.

I had the hood painted by a friend that works at a Ford dealership. Any paint and body shop should be roughly 300-500 since the hood is new.

Looking for 2016 Hood with scoop in Blazin Blue to trade for my Hood without scoop.excellent condition. I live in northeast upstate NY.

 

I would imagine, excerpt the paints.

 

Just also be sure it is the correct hood. One is steel and the other is certified CAPA galvanized steel. Paint supposedly sticks better to the galvanized. It is about $50-$75 more.

 

I’m just gonna wait to see if anyone would trade with me than paying $1k extra for a new one. But everyone has their priority. Mine OR hood look good enough too.

 

@androofoo I agree. lots of non scooped hoods and not a lot of scooped hoods coming up. Ill probably just order all the parts for a scooped hood and have a painter buddy paint it for me.

 

I got a sweet MGM off road hood that adds 20 HP and is 20 lbs lighter than a sport hood. I don’t like to drive fast and I know the sport guys are all about 1/4 mile times.


So if anyone wants to swap me for a off road hood I’ll take your sport .
