Borla 40665 to chopped exhaust. Sounds is really minimal below 2.4K and then jumps.

2018. You still need the tune. The 2018 with the tsb is nice but can’t wait for the 1.05

 

On the dirtydeeds thread he says they can eliminate the drone

 

I don't mind the rasp at higher rpm's,it's the low drone at low load that I want to reduce.

 

the Vibrant Ultra Quiet will take care of that. if you see reports of me talking about a drone after i had all that installed, it was because i had a pre-axle turn down and that was the source of all my low drone. added a tailpipe and no more drone. but the rasp is pissing me off pretty good right now.

I have a full system with the dual outlet flowmaster going out the back and he drone is pretty obnoxious. Sounds like a tuba in a train tunnel...

 

Well Matt did mention he was working on an exhaust system as well....

 

Mods should lock this thread right when 1.05 releases. Then folks will actually have no choice but to read the instructions and try there best

 

@OVTune, let’s get 1.05 released already! I’m driving to Texas on Monday to pick up my Casita trailer, towing back to Tampa over the following week.

 

It will be released well before the end of october.. oh wait. I bet it comes out 1 week into november

 

Patiently awaiting 1.05 here......been running 1.04 (and previously 1.03) for about 10k miles.

We just got back from a 1000 mile round trip to mountains of Western NC. While I'm generally pretty pleased with how 1.04 has tamed the truck and made it more drive-able, I was reminded of how much high speed interstate driving still SUCKS on anything but flat midwest highways. Get into the hills and here we go with the gear dance. I don't mind downshifting when warranted, but when going 75mph and 5th gear can't accelerate and barely hold speed on a mild/moderate grade without jumping down to 4th....it is just maddening to me!

So @OVTune , I hope and pray that 1.05 helps with the throttle limiter issue on 5th and 6h gear.....please say it's so! This is the one and only issue remaining that keeps this truck from being the most awesome roadtrip vehicle for me. All my other gripes have been resolved with previous tunes up til now.

Yep, 1.05 was suppose to be released sept 1st, then oct 1st, now the end of October....

 

If he released it sooner you would be waiting for 1.06 with the updates he’s adding to the tune right now. I’d rather just get 1.05 and be done with it. Until it gets a turbo...

 

There isn’t going to be a 1.06. When 1.05 drops that’s it. After that you’d need custom tuning to do anything else.
