I feel like I’ve bullied the gfc guys enough to the point where I’m getting worried about them :fingerscrossed:

In answer to your question, No, I do not believe anyone (on here anyway) as mentioned DD had a thread but no one was doing anything “Goose Gear” like... with a GFC.

That said IF you wanna see some builds that would work within the GFC the Drifter thread

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/vagabond-drifter-camper-buildout-and-mods.540940/

Is right full of crazy fancy RV-ish builds. If that’s your thing take a look. I won’t lie while I don’t care for the weight, cost, or complexity of those builds I do follow that thread because there’s some really cool stuff going on and I do enjoy seeing it.

I went with a Decked system and Alu-Cab tilting fridge slide in the passenger side. Zero complaints. Everything works awesome... that said I think I’m gonna add a few Wolf Pack boxes to the back for additional storage. Anyway check out that thread when you have some time. Seems to be a difference in build philosophy between the GFC guys and Drifter guys. I’d love to see a full build on on a GFC though so if you do it. Post pics.

I forgot to mention but I do have 4 wolfpacks I use to hold most of my gear.

What’s up brother.... just caught up on the last few days on here... 120 some odd angry posts. Wow...

Anyway how do you like those Wolf Packs? Are they worth it over something like an ActionPacker? What makes them better? Will they fit any bedding or are they way too small?

I do understand the aggravation. I paid in full in Feb and was told my Camper would be done by May, instead I went all summer without it... aggravating but such is the nature of a startup....

To be honest the ONLY failure I have seen from GFC is communication. I won’t speak out of turn but they need to hire someone full time to answer emails and take phone calls and be in the office all the time. It needs to be a Full time job. Certainly could be done remotely by the right person. Either way I do not envy the person who has to field a few hundred emails and calls everyday. Think what you want but that’s a lot to handle.

I think you would be surprised if you compared your DECKED weight to something made out of 80/20.

I would not be surprised one bit lol... 205lbs is not light.... like i said i dig those 80/20 builds (including yours). Why don’t you throw a couple pictures up here to give people ideas. You have a drifter but your build translates to a GFC...

I have never tried the actionpacker but the main thing that drew me towards wolfpacks were modular and easily repairable but durable (lids, fasteners, insertable zip cubes). Also, while they are not waterproof they are water resistant. I also like that you can use them for multiple purposes (stairs, table, seat) and they stack very well. I can not compare them to the action packer but they work well for my needs. I like to be organized and try to keep certain things together in certain packs.

You could probably fit some "stuffable" bedding but they are not very large packs. I fit my kitchen in 1 (minus stove), my dry food goods in another, various items in another (lantern, hammock, tarp, tape, lighters, etc), and another for my wash bins, sunscreen, shampoo, toiletries, etc. So I use 4 but if I am by myself I can trim it down to 2 or 3 bins. Like @ace7196 there isnt much waste space inside them.

Check out the Drifter thread I linked above there’s a ton of them on there....

Lots of really nice interior buildouts in there. Some of those guys/girls know how to maximize a small space and turn it into a nice liveable area.

I just spent some time going through that thread. There are some cool builds! Holy Shit!

But, I'm also glad I got the GFC (next week???). It fits my needs so much better. Those guys - god bless them! - are all about building campers. That's not what I need. But, damn there's some awesome stuff.

I think a good plywood 1/2 bed drawer is what I need - but I did get some good ideas from over there.
