    I asked my friend how he got the HMMV legal. He went to two DMV’s and the both declined him, and then the Oakland DMV accepted it.

    He did it just before legislation was introduced last October to ban registration of military vehicles in California. He was one of the very last people in the state to get his HMMV road legal.
