    Some stuff
    Nothing.
That's why I keep moving back to Texas.
But seriously. If you're gonna drop coin on coilovers...

    Get something rebuildable,
And something you can put neoprene socks over, especially in the winter/if you beach drive.

Aluminum will corrode, rbut, hold up better in the long run that steel, especially when the coating comes off.
The biggest would be the shaft on the shock. Once that hardened chrome is pitted/rusted/chipped, you'll tear through shaft seals in short order, rendering it useless.

THATS being said, get what best suits you/your needs.

4wd kit though? I like going with tried and true. But either way it's a ways away

yup they are doing a 4wd LT kit. they've been working on it for a while, but the owner is extremely particular so they haven't released it until he's 100% happy with it and meets what he wants for travel numbers. Talking to him they are planning to do a trail oriented LT kit, kind of 2"+ each side type kit, plus a 3" to match TC's, and then a race kit of some sorts. Its the same company as Rock Kralwer that does all of the Jeep suspension. The Pure Performance line has been mainly 3/4 and 1 ton trucks, but they are going to release the stuff for the Toyota crowd finally

Whatever you get @Unchained 5150 clear coat them. @dc welding clear coated his Bilsteins and they look amazing. Plan to do mine eventually after cleaning them up some

The kings I have aren't very pretty, overall not much for rust besides the external resie line fittings. Lots of corrosion - the aluminum housings took a hell of a beating from the corrosion. I had them mavcoated then fluid filmed the first year and they look like crap now. They still function fine.. I'm just not happy with how the surfaces held up. They offer custom coating (anodizing I think) - and if I ever redo it all I'll get them all coated by Kings.

Another thing to think about, with Aluminum.
Corrosion isn't exactly a bad thing. It tends to corrode, then the corrosion acts as a barrier. Not pretty, but functional. Something I learned with aluminium aboard ships...
Another thing... Some time and patience, it can be polished, and kept shiny as hell....

Yeah, corroded aluminum ain't pretty. Better than rusty steel, or peeling powder coat/paint.

May have to look into their kits when the time comes then. Trying to keep a narrower width.

No, they'll either get worn off or mess up tge wiper and rod seals in the gland. I haven't seen them pit much from rod use, maybe very minimal. I mostly saw pitting on cylinders from power plants that deal with ash or dumping the trash into the furnace
