Yeah, I have vibrations, but they don't go away in 4h. I believe it's just my tires, but I ordered the bushing for the future....

Not a bad idea. I'll probably have them do it when I go to 33s and regear.

Speaking of (because it's on my radar) who are you going to have do the gears? Because that's way out of my comfort zone....

I'm probably going to go on a small road trip. Got buddies down south. I'd probably trust any official nitro dealer / shop though. Or call them and ask who'd they'd recommend in the area

Sounds good. I like the idea of 4.88 even though I'm on 31s(?).

Might be a bit short. But the truck does have 2 overdrive gears. So you'd probably be completely fine

Got a set of Yakima 6 ski button down ski racks for really cheap, but have to fab something to mount it to the cross bars with.

    IMG_20181028_130207.jpg

As you can see from this picture, no place to put screws:

    IMG_20181028_130216.jpg

So I grabbed some stuff to fasten these to the bars:

    IMG_20181028_130238.jpg

Just waiting on my trusty cousin to get home so I can cut.. .

All the pieces are cut to size. Cousin going to weld the bolts on for me. Going to make this so I can fasten to bed bars using wing nuts.

He's gonna powder coat them flat black as well.... I love my cool ass multi-disciplined shop ninja cousin.....

A couple of items of note on this:

It no longer works. I'm not sure if it's a battery issue (it shouldn't be) or a wiring issue, or a switch issue, but it's getting swapped out to something different, because even when it worked it was inconstant. It was a fun little project though.

This is another slow going project. Snow is coming, and that means its time to get my ass in gear on it. My cousin forgot about welding the bolts last week, but got around to it yesterday. I'm going to mock it all up soon (tonight maybe?) I promise, it will all make sense when it's all together. My plan is to fasten these to the ski racks using the hardware that came with the racks, then use wing nuts to fasten them to the Voodoo bars. Here's to hoping. When Phil (my cousin) get's powder coating again, he'll do these up for me as well.

When you mounted your tweeters...I have ge same ones. Did the covers go back in flush? I have a little hump. The morel tweeter covers have a slight raised surface.

You know, it's funny you ask. When I put the Kicker tweeters in, I noticed the cover on the passenger side didn't sit flush anymore. And it is sitting the same way with the morels. I'll take a close up look/picture. I don't believe they should be affecting the the covers at all, and I'll be honest, it was probably an install error on my part (hasty re-assembling, maybe a clip not going in correctly). I do not notice a hump on the driver side. And if I'm not mistaken, I believe those covers on the drivers can be removed?

I might try and remove the covers. You cant see it, but I know it’s not 100% flush and it’s buggin me.

I'd like to see if I didn't put the cover panel on properly first. The driver side doesn't have that issue in my truck

Went to Toyota of Nashua yesterday for a 20k mile service. How the hell do you fuck up putting the access plate back on and lose a screw?!

    IMG_20181116_110756.jpg

What a fucking mess. Truck goes back this afternoon to be made right because that's just bullshit.

Well they cleaned it up, reinstalled correctly but had to order a new screw.

    All right, I finished it!

    IMG_20181116_164535.jpg

So the pieces that my cuz welded went into the bottom of the racks and we're bolted using the stock hardware
    IMG_20181116_180939.jpg

    IMG_20181116_180317.jpg

They are attached to the Voodoo racks using wing nuts.

    IMG_20181116_180727.jpg

With the skis on the rack. Decent gap from the back window

    IMG_20181116_180823.jpg

$39 for the racks on eBay, $19 on hardware to get them mounted, $0 for welding and $0 for future powder coating.

Got the new locks in for the ski racks. Quick change out. Noticed a 1.5 mpg drop since putting the racks on.

Quick hit I forgot about. I removed the door opener project I did and added a gentex (or whatever) double opener
    IMG_20181115_204931.jpg

Doesn't look quite as nice, but works fantastic and opens both doors now.

Might not be doing anything for a bit, spent my hood wrap money on this
