I've had spacer lifts on a couple trucks. I currently have a full suspension lift. I've also owned a couple trucks that had lifts that were almost as much as what I paid for the truck. Funny thing....Once off road, I don't recall much difference in what I could or couldn't do...

That said, I see the merits of a high quality suspension.....But....The difference isn't as pronounced as many would have you believe.

Who stole your snackpack and got you all in a bunch.

    Anywho.

    Hahahaha.

Ok. So here's the deal. Mods on here don't mind some horse play but gotta keep it in line a bit. Just a friendly bit to a new member. There's some good advice on here about spacers so you got something to work with

    Well that escalated quickly...

Yup. Still gotta keep it civil.

@Zwilly I hope this all helps you and you didn't get scared away from TacomaWorld. There is tons of good info on here. In all honesty though, there are questions that get asked multiple times a day, and some people have nothing better to do than to respond with hatred.

There is a search tool at the top of the page, or you can use google and just put "Tacomaworld" in your search and that should be able to answer a lot of common questions you may have.

Good advice im going to run them and see what happens my biggest concern is up front i have alot of armor which means alot more weight then stock (fab four vengence bumper thicker steel skid plate rock sliders ) so im worried about my shock snaping at the bottem under the coil ive seen pictures of it happen to other people an im especially concerned with how much weight i have up front

I couldn't get past the point of your post where it says it doesn't change the ride. It absolutely does. I ran a set for about 100 miles before they came off. Made it ride like a 70s Ford 3/4 ton.

If so it was installed wrong.

Spring rate does not change with top spacer...

When the suspension is a full travel with stock ucas it hits the springs and hits hard over time it will boe an eventually snap the strut at its weakest point which is always at the bottem this is were most road salt builds up an weakens the strut the most and is the thinest part of the strut thats my theroy why it happens with stock ucas anyways thats why it sounded dumb when i said spacer lift and doing it right but it makes sense if you know what your talking about...

Do you have a second gen ? 06-15'? If so you can put these on and I believe they'll net you about 1" lift and you'll have a nice shock set up too

    $100

So my 2007 tacoma i had, prerunner, i did the 3 inch spacers on and had them on for around 50K miles before i got Tboned. it was a cheap lift, i think from supreme suspensions i paid close to $100 for front and rear (blocks). I currently have 5100's on my 4x4 tacoma and i like them too, got them on sale from Jet.com on blackfriday for less than $400 for all 4.

So my opinion and they are like assholes....

I had no issues with my spacers and blocks. i did very mild offroading with them with no issues. it was a 2x4 with no locker, so i didnt do anything extreme with it and it got me from point A-B without issues. Never had an alignment issue, never had any hard bumps, never had any failure. My wife and i were having a baby so i was doing everything on a budget. Its not a great lift but its not as terrible as some people make it. You have to realize that you are lifting the vehicle and not compensating for shocks or springs. So yes the ride was not stock, but it was much better than my neighbors that put on a Procomp 6'' lift. you could feel every pebble in the road with his.

So in conclusion of my opinion, are you gonna be able to take it off any sweet jumps with a spacer lift? i wouldnt. Are you going to be able to put bigger tires and get the stance you want, and even do some mild offroading. Yes.
