He beats on them. But they rub bad with 285’s and a 4.5” BS wheel.

@Porter707 has then too, but with @SCSPerformance Ray 10’s & 4” BS wheels. He’ll have to chime in...

I've been sort of following the "mega thread." He bought his a few years ago. I believe there have been some changes since then.

Naked in the bag(giggity). You need your body heat to radiate inside. Socks and underwear to soak up a little bit of sweat just to keep the bag a little cleaner for long term use.

Ive been entertaining the idea of a little heater for inside my shell, but the truth is its all in the bag. However, a large propane heater for my backside when sitting around the campfire would be nice. Need me some snowcamping in my life

I use a little buddy heater in the back for about 10 before I get in. Heats it up. Makes it’s nice for when you are getting into your sleeping bag and changed. There’s been a few times snow camping when I have waken up and turned it on for a bit when it was super cold.

Yeah, no complaints about the durability, mine are quite well used.
With 285's u definitely need a wheel with about 3.5 backspace or more otherwise u will rub

You're right. I went through the thread. He was an early adopter and practically served as R&D. Went through 4 sets I think. Moral of the story: If you want JBAs and plan to achieve a low earth orbit in your Tacoma, get the HDs.

That's my plan. I run warm, so I think that will be plenty. I have a Little Buddy heater if I need it, plus 2 dogs. They'll be in their own 20* bag on wool blankets.

I'm down for some snow camping.

Been running an early set of JBA HD arms, installed as a "temporary" measure after I wrecked a balljoint (among other things) in my Camburg arms in a hard landing. Caster with the JBA is lower than with the Camburgs, but not bad enough to swap back immediately.
Lesson - Don't send it when your truck ain't built to take it.

Don't get me wrong...the flight was fabulous. Just the landing that left a bruise.
