I figured. It really breaks my heart. When I was growing up in Gallatin, everyone worked tobacco fields at some point. Everyone. My best friend from childhood's grandparents share cropped a farm. The land owners died, and their kids sold the farm and kicked his grandparents off the land. It's all subdivisions now where I used to camp, hunt, and raise hell in the back forty. To say I'm bitter about the way of things would be an understatement. I know you're a metal head, but listen to this song. It's actually my ringtone.

Absolutely. Everyone used to grow. Even if it was 1-2 acres for supplemental income. That was before the days of needing a contract to sell.

Metal head indeed, but i listen to lots of other stuff too. I dig it!

Yea, they fire-cure a lot up there. It's a cool process. All air-dried here though.

    Half-ass update after AOP...

@Dave41079 The front bumps from @Plastics Guy completely exceeded my expectations. None of that slamming the hard factory bumps anymore. I honestly didn't think I would be able to notice the difference without trying to. I was wrong. Soooo nice. 10/10 would recommend.

Passenger front fender is jammed back so that the door won't open more than 1/2 way. Need to fix that.

@Knoxdavid34 I was wrong when I told you I didn't need a skid for my T-case because I had never hit it before. I smashed the stock "skid" flat. Bottom of the case is wet with gear oil. I need to pull the "skid" off and see where the fluid is coming from. It's not a fast leak though, so that's good. Will make a skid for it now.

Gas tank is completely fubar. I went up the mountain with 1/2 tank of gas, and came back down with 3/4 tank, according to the gauge. haha. Gauge doesn't go below 3/4 tank no matter what. I'll be tracking my mileage from now on, I guess.

I took one pic all weekend. Trail 41. As usual, looks like no big deal in the pic. Haha.

As always, @Breezy came through with a cool shot.

LOL. Your gas gauge must be wrong.

Seal up the end of a blow nozzle attachment with a rag over the fill hole in the gas tank and pressurize the tank. It’ll pop back out and your gauge will read closer to correct. You probably put a big dent right in the center of the tank under the sending unit. When I ran a stock tank in my truck, it was dented and wouldn’t read below 3/8. Ran out of gas in -20 degree weather on my trip home with it. Swapped in an F150 tank and now I don’t smash it on rocks and my gauge reads correctly too.

So according to @Snowy , Toyota put the wrong gas tank on your truck anyway. :D

Third gen 4Runner but same idea. They literally fall into place and wire right in with the Ford sending unit and pump

So it sits where the factory spare was on our trucks? What's the capacity, and which model year F150's did it come from?

I like the pressurized air trick. Will give it a try.

Yeah you can put it where the factory spare went or in front of the axle behind the cab depending on your exhaust routing. Here is how I put mine in to accommodate the shortened wheelbase. https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads...apped-98-xtra-cab.371416/page-2#post-10875614

It's a 19 gallon tank. Heres a link to what I bought on Rock Auto. 1993 F150 rear auxiliary tank was the winner for me. https://www.rockauto.com/en/moreinfo.php?pk=1335986&cc=1122107&jsn=483

Great News that we exceeded your expectations!!! Even I didn't really know what a difference the right bump stop can make until I started tinkering with my first prototype set for my own truck, I slapped that first set on the truck and I was like "These bump stops are direct competition to Mike Lindell's My Pillow"

Now one of the hardest things to convey to my customers is what a difference these bump stops make. You can even notice a difference in-town daily driving.

Yea, I'm thinking of getting a gas tank skid as well now. Haha

    Thank you.

Have made zero progress since the trip. Haven’t even unpacked my gear.

So your tent smells like wet moldy nastiness now?

    No problem!

I finally cleaned everything up yesterday and put the tent away after we got poured on Sunday morning. Had to stop at Bass Pro on the way to get two tents for a couple of the guys since theirs was all moldy after not drying out from a previous trip...so now I’m paranoid to make sure everything is dry.
