So- my question to you especially since you use an annex-- do you ever regret not getting the overhanging tent (where the ladder has an overhang?).

The only reason I don't want an overhang is because I want to be able to lay on my stomach or (back with head away from ladder) and face out the ladder side and be able to look out and see the views. I feel an overhang would limit sight.

When I bought my tent it was damaged and I essentially rebuilt it. I think for inclimate weather I would like the covered stairway and overhang. So I didn’t get the option to buy the overhang or not.

Having said that I sleep with my head opposite side of the ladder like you do and I enjoy waking up and rolling the outer door up laying back down to take in the view. I would absolutely be blocking that view with the overhang.

Here’s the view from me sitting up as I woke up in the morning in Pismo.

Would just be tan with the overhang. I also could take the rainfly off if I wanted to but I usually always set it up to leave any condensation on the rainfly instead of the canvas.

It didn’t show the cost until you go to the order page. Nice setup, but pricey for what it is.

Anyone have any suggestions on faded covers? Ive had this one for about 5 months and all the color is gone. Bummer. Looks terrible compared to what it looked like before.

Wish they put this logo in white instead. Would look a lot better over time.

I take mine off when not in use, park my truck in garages, and have a different brand that doesnt seem to fade as badly. However if I was you I would buy a new tent and sell me the old one for cheap. Its ruined.

Can't speak about Black Friday or holiday deals, but the REI near me had a returned Yakima RTT (guy set it up once in his driveway), and they were selling it 50% off the new price at their garage sale. An idea if you're a member and one is nearby.
