Hey @ChadsPride ! What ever happened with the wifes Rav and that dome light!?

 

Tailgate cap is on and sprayed the old gate skin with bed liner ! Lubed everything inside with Krown and cleaned surface rust off inside bottom edge and used POR-15 on it. Good for a couple more winters!

 

......and then some I'd say! Great job! Looks spankin' new.

I also got stuck in my yard today. I don’t have on street parking, so I parked my truck in the yard while they were taking down the trees. Tore up the “lawn”, I had to use my auto LSD.

 

Thanks Rob ! My sliders have been here but my powder coat /welder is supposed to send them out to be blasted first and he hasn’t done it yet . They came with a little surface rust . I guess that’s normal . He said better to sandblast first before PC .

That auto LSD get's to be a bitch at my age. The flashbacks are more scary now. I relived my colonoscopy and the echo part was more than I could handle.

 

Yea, I suppose it's impossible to make it so raw metal doesn't get some surface rust. Luckily that's all it is and blasting it is definitely easier than a wire wheel, or by hand with a brush or sand paper. When I get mine I will likely cheap out and do it all myself by hand.
