Whole bunch of stuff in my garage
My lift is coming together finally. Got my Icon Coils and UCAs in last week and my wife surprised me with Dakars today for our anniversary. Just waiting on the rear shocks and bumps to come in, then I'll be ready.

I have 285/75-16 duratracs now that are about due for replacement and have been having the same debate looking at 285/75-17's..

Yesterday I was convinced to say F*%# it! and go with the 34's... today I started to thing about the ease of replacement should something go wrong on long trips. That size I cannot imagine being very common in store. and if I am going to go with a big boy tire ill just step up to 35's. Ultimately that wont happen while I am still daily driving my truck so 33's it is.

I convinced my self to to go 35’s and not to 37’s still haven’t bought tires yet so it’s still a possibility if I can’t find an actual 35

Check out the tall skinny 33s...they are taller than the 285s and there’s no real power or MPG hit. With all of my shit I’m still getting 16-17 highway before adjusting for tire size MPG change.

haha yeah 37's would we wicked. but again, for me at least, that is only going to happen if I am not driving the truck all the time. that much rubber is hard on parts!

I am all about the tall skinnies! that's why the 285/75/17 was so appealing to me. I wish there were more companies out there offering 255/85's though.

No stay away from km3’s they runny insanely small. Brand new they are smaller than a worn stt pro which is already small for its size. Plus from what I’ve seen and read they are essentially the km2 but with more siping and grooves and a little more sidewall protection.

Still looking around for tires and sizes with the 16” wheel you can’t get a true 35 it’s other a 36 somthing or 34
I’ve heard good things about the stt pros as well

A 315/75r16 is a 35" tire. Unless you are thinking that 34.9" isn't a "true" 35" tire. When I search for 35x12.5r17 tires, they all spec between 34.5" to 34.8", so not true 35's either....

    Toyo M/T 315/75r16 = 34.9"
    Toyo M/T 35x12.5r17 = 34.8"

There are 22 different options in that size shown on Tire Rack's website, and that doesn't include the Toyo options (3). Discount Tire's website lists 35 different options in 315/75r16, and those also doesn't include the Toyo options.

    I thought the 315/75r16 was 34.6 but it’s either a 34 or 36 so ima stick with the 34

I think each MFRs’ specs can vary a little, so check before you buy.

Yeah I know but they’re ridiculously small. All identical sizes, my MTR’s were bigger by just over 1/2” to the stt pros, and the worn stt pro’s are about 1/2” bigger than the km3’s. There’s a significant difference. Go 37/12.5/17 if you want a true 35” km3

37’s do sound good but that’s a lot of cutting and long with tubbing the fire wall, just going to run 34’s..

34.9 isn't 35..... Just saying. I'm on the same page as you since I consider my 265/75/16 AT's 32's and my 285/70/17's 33's. Potaters gonna potate.

If I could, I'd run 15" wheels as tires are stupidly cheap. Not down with 2" wheel spacers.

Closest I've found and would like to pick up is a set of 34x9/16 TSL swampers. I can already hear the road noise and see the tread disappear before my eyes. $288 a tire. :notsure:

Or get a hold of some 35x14.5/15 pitbulls on 15x10 3.5 bs steelies. Wide as fuck providing optimal lb/sqft displacement to surface/contact area. I can't begin to describe how awesome they performed on my old 83 1st Gen.

Finally made an app at my local dealership to have my “front LH air bag sensor malfunction” straightened out.

Turns out I paid 155 for them to tell me the same thing I already knew from the code and that they weren’t sure it would fix the problem. But that they roccomwnd spending the 491 to try. The sensor was 100 buck on line 145 at the dealership but the nice parts lady matched it. I’ll have the new one tomorrow and will swap it out myself.

On my way out parked next to me.. GX down!!! Came in in a flatbed lol0053BCE0-F8C7-4460-AE47-091C23ED7C2F.jpg
