I ordered new front hubs with wheel bearings last week from 05Taco4x4. Did the install today and also put new rotors and brake pads. Truck runs smooth as silk and stops velvet smooth too. I thought my tires were getting loud but it was my passenger side bearing ...lol

Pretty easy job with air tools!

Last week I installed the TRD exhaust. This week I removed the TRD exhaust and reinstalled the OEM non-TRD exhaust.

Maybe I’m getting to old, but all the racket was a bit obnoxious.

Took the truck to get the marriage license today. I'm definitely the lucky one! Also got the truck registered and got new Radio Operator Plates KI5BWY. Sad to see my custom "TRUBL3" Yellow Don't Tread On Me plates go, but I can't justify spending another $225 on license plates when a) I have a wedding next month and b) the radio operator plates are free! (And Operator AF)

I'm at 94k miles. I was getting wha wha sound. Jacked up taco and spun wheel and could hear growling dry bearing. Passenger side was worse and close to complete failure. Metal particles on bearing when I pulled it off.

You know you love your truck when (hmmm, that sounds like a thread start. . . .)

You arrive home late from work, having stopped at the auto parts store, your wife has gone shopping, and that means your garage is free for you to pull in and work. YES! (Little victory dance). Supper can wait.

Cleaned the MAF sensor and the throttle body. As with all the other routine maintenance I'm doing, I don't think it was routinely done before.

Final note: Wear gloves. Acetone, a components of the cleaners, causes cancer. Use the cleaner in a well ventilated area too. Unless you really like the big C.

I use penetrating fluid as a cleaner for throttle bodies. It actually works quite well and isn't as bad for the lungs. Often I find I use less penetrant than standard throttle body cleaner.

(I'm a long term tech trying to save my body every way I can)

Nice work! The trucks love it when you spend some time on those items.
