Yeah, but I'm 4 door, so no worries about folding seats. I think you would have had problems with those rails that you welded up anyway. I think they would have made the seats too high. I kept the rails of mine at the same basic level as stock, and they still feel "tall". But other than that, I love them, especially on long trips, 7-8 hours on the highway.

    This is backwards thinking.

Shocks dampen the movement of the axle and the spring. If the shocks are too short, they will limit the extension and therefore the flex. And in the end, when a shock is too short, it will get damaged.

The idea is to have a shock that does not limit travel.

You going to secure that down with brackets, or did you all ready. Hate to see that sub smash your face into the wheel by slamming into the back of the seat.

Looks great man, wish mine was that clean inside.

Today is Fluid Film day here in upstate NY. Total of five vehicles to be done. Just waiting on the sun to get up and melt away the frost and warm the air a bit.

It's pretty heavy, so no sliding around - and I doubt it'd go anywhere.
That picture was with the seat bent forward and slid all the way up.
When the seat is in the normal position, it's snug against the wood/carpeted platform & leaned back is touching the top of the sub box

About to buy used 7th injector and aem controller for my 98 from a guy with an 02/03 (he's not sure) - is there any difference in the 7th injector for these years? What would I need the aem controller for beyond the URD unit that comes with the injector? @1997tacomav6

    Thanks :hattip:

    uh...

So..don't buy the 7th if your getting an AEM FIC6. The AEM will just tune the truck's injectors. And it won't do anything for the 7th as it only does 6, thus the name :p

You'd need either the URD unit which I wouldn't get as its ancient. Or a MapECU3 or something..which is over kill.

You'd be much better off with just the AEM FIC6 and maybe a meth kit if you wanted.

I thought it was weird he was selling them both. I have the snow meth kit for after I pass smog. Thanks - I was going to get the 7th and make it easy, but now I'm ready to open up a whole new can of worms. I have larger spare injectors from when I bought the sc. I'll get the model number of the aem controller he has and report back. I think he may want $1200 for both - deal or would it basically be like buying new if I end up selling one off. The thing I read from another local guy why he went with the 7th is tuning for elevation and how our altitude goes from 0-9k feet. Is the 7th that much easier to tune for altitude or is that somewhat irrelevant in this matter?

No its not easy to tune for altitude. Usually if you tune shit right, the ecu will do its things. Thats what the O2 sensor is always trying to measure and what its making up for.

I think you can get the FIC6 these days pretty cheap. So that is not a good deal at all. You'll get a better tune out of the FIC6 anyways.
