@Chasespeed sorry to hear about your wife, but glad to hear she's doing okay now. I've never had an ear injury but I've been stitched and glued back together enough times to know how much of an inconvenience it is.

I picked up my skid plate today and I'm kinda bummed out TBH. For the 2019 Pro Toyota added in red plastic letters in the embossed sections. There was a thread that the 2017-2018 style had gone out of production which is why I had jumped on it now versus waiting. In their computer the new skid plate part number has superseded the old part number so the old plate I ordered was replaced with the new part number.

I'm on the fence of whether the red letters look cheesy or not. There's a 20% restock on the plate (though I'm sure if I argued enough I could get it comped) and there isn't an option for the other style plate so I may just live with it. Maybe someday a company will make replacement letters in black or silver to tame the red.

With where the letters are located on the plate I'd have to believe that it would immediately chip off. Maybe it wouldn't, but I think I'll just live with it for now.

I'm thinking about ripping out my CB antenna setup and just trading it for a Wilson Lil Wil I can throw on my roof if I need it. I don't ever use the Firestik anyways and I don't particularly care for the little stub end on the hood hinge bracket.

I have a pair of cheap LED cubes I could put on the brackets (as I've got a pair) but I'm on the fence.

Anyone want a 4' Firestik, quick release, spring and Firering cable (that is admittedly finicky to work with) for $40 (the cost of the Lil Wil)?

@Subway4X4 quick question about recovery - for synthetic lines - do I need to use a special snatch block?
Getting the winch installed this weekend hopefully so trying to get all the goodies ordered to use it properly and safety. I picked up a Warn Zeon 10-S for the truck

    Everything TW members recommend
No special snatch block. If you already have a snatch block, make sure there are no burrs or sharp edges if you’ve already run a steel cable through it. It’ll cut up your synthetic winch line in a hurry.

    Its morning.
Found a transfer station kinda close, where I dont have to be a resident. Less stress than stock piling construction and demo debris until I have enough to justify a dumpster... gonna try to get that sticker this morning since I'm, local.

Someone coming out from the Cape to look at my Jeep for around noon...
I'm kinda 50/50 on whether I want to sell it or not.
It's been sitting. Driven it 1x time since July. Dont think I've run a tnk of gas through it since May?
But, I'm a fan of cash reserves, and this would allow me to get some big projects done, without dinging what I have stashed... which, is a plus for me.

Anyway... rambling while I work on my first coffee before I fire up the stove. Long day yesterday, and I'm the only one up.

Okay, I've burned it off on a few occasions over the last 10 years...
And now I have to shave once a year for the respirator, and hopefully never have to use it(keep cordless clippers in the van)..

So, I'm curious how you've managed do it.

Better than what I'm doing..,,, lol
