Good morning TW 50’s, weather is what they called for, cold and wet,I hate it when there right. Work has been crazy lately, new dept manager, last one quit. I have had 6 different managers in the last 5 years. Team leader is quitting, I lost count on what number he was. They want to up production but have a broken system, can’t get good help, always training new people. No qualified people want to work in the Marine Industry, too many ups and downs. For that matter, young people don’t want to go in the skilled trades anymore. Company is family owned and the younger ones don’t seemed to be compatant, they are the founders grandchildren, spoiled rich kids. They just sold the Pursuit division in Florida for 100 mil to Malibu Boats. Everyone has a feeling the readying the Tiara division for a sale,3 mil office remodel, new equipment, higher production numbers. With the economy doing so well, they probably feel if you’re get,get while the gettin is good. We built 180 boats in 2018 model year, they want to build 300 in the 2019 model year, the new model year started August 1st. The sales department is pulling there hair out because they can’t get enough product, dealers are screaming for new boats. Our least expensive boat is $650,000. ,the most is $2.25 mil,who the fuck is buying these toys. Ahh I feel better now, rant over.:pccoffee: Coffee time.

Always liked IH tractors, being a former IH Scout owner. I had a JD garden tractor, great machine, sold it during the “crash”. Last year bought a Cub Cadet garden tractor, nice machine, also have the Cub Cadet snow blower, another good product. I like my Cub Cadet dealer, fair, good pricing. The local JD dealer is too pricey, and won’t budge on price.

    Good Day,,

    Same here,,scattered rain all day.

Work is same here, All we make here now is 75 hp and up. The new V6 and V8, 175 -400 hp we can't make enough. They want to increase production, but how. New machines and more automation. That doesn't happen overnight. More people, can't find any now.
I can work 7 days a week if I want. Right now 5 days is enough. After hunting seasons I start doing more OT,,,maybe.

A little goose suggested that I should embark on a "Vikings" binge after the ball game last night.

    IMG_4845.jpg

Seemed like a good idea at the time, but I sure am questioning that decision this morning. But I guess that's what I get for listening to that goose.
