I've heard of people using romex in trailers & RVs without issues. Me personally I would use stranded as it's more vibration resistant than solid core. You would pretty much never use solid core for automotive use. But then again I know nothing about trailers & I've never had to wire AC for automotive use.

Right I believe that’s why Romex, and solid wire is never used in moving vehicles or machinery. It’s the vibrations that’ll harm it.

120v Outlets

 

I believe in that case you still should follow the rules with AC. Wire gauge & breaker size depends on amperage & wire run length. But length shouldn't be much of a factor in a trailer.

 

Why? Do you plan on living in this trailer? When would you ever need 120v? If you can run a shore power cable to the trailer, it would be just as easy to open the door and run the extension cord inside.

 

To run or charge tools on the road.

 

Just mount a 12v inverter to the wall. That will give you 2 outlets. Also will need to run a heavy gauge 12v power supply cord to the pickup battery.

 

Use PVC electrical conduit to run the 12 gauge, stranded wire. The conduit and boxes are cheap. You could get by with 14 gauge easily as well.

Are you putting in a breaker box? You will need a 30 amp, waterproof,recessed male plug.

I have a really bad spacer in the front, and a block in the back. (Revtek) Its a 2.7L 4x4, Stock front bumper.

I am trying to achieve 3 inches of lift. no more, no less.

Goal is also to eliminate any possible rake.
