They slide up enough to where my fat ass can still get in the back so id say they slide forward pretty far

How did the bolts line up
Did you have to modify a lot?

The seat brackets are in the same positions. So two bolts line up perfectly. You can drill a few holes and it’ll bolt in no problem. But I’m having 2 legs made just to be safe.

Has anyone put a different, or another vehicle’s center console into the 1st gen? I’ve got weird ass center console that I bought the truck with, it sucks. The PO just wedged it in-between the seats, no screws or bolts. Im either going to get an OE center console, or if someone else has a good suggestion for a swap, swap it out.

Years ago, I installed the ARB air chuck inside/ behind the fuel door. It stays clean and out of sight.

EDIT: The rear diff breather is behind the black plastic housing.

Another safe option for putting other after market seats in is to buy the whole entire seat bracket
that Corbeau makes for their seats specific for the 1st gen Tacoma.
It addresses the two big issues of not having to weld any parts and fits like a glove
    and addresses the seat belts.

It comes with the sliding seat tracks too.
It comes with the bracket for the stock Toyota seat belt that bolt on so
you don’t need to figure out how to address the seat belt clip not being compatible
or the incorrect location and can use the stock toyota one.

So you would just have to bolt the seat to the sliding track so you could probably put any seat in there if it fit size wise.

My seats fit perfectly across and in depth and have plenty of extra head room.
They don’t hit the door rest or the center console.

Here are the dimensions that will help you finding a seat.

I've considered putting a locking Tuffy 8" console in there for some more locking storage but it would be a tight squeeze depending on what seats you're running

I cant remember anyone swapping in another center console but a 40mm ammo can fits beautifully with the stock seats and some simple fab work if you're into that sorta thing
