You know there are some folks who are into that

 

You need the ubj press kit

It sucks. Especially the stupied snap rings

Uca bushings are easy

 

What do mean by bushings? For the UCAs?

 

Or, just go to the yard yourself and grab a set. Add a relay and some wires and your done for around $50 or less. Its not copyrighted or anything, anybody could sell them. I like his ambition, but I don't agree with his pricing.

 

UBJs are just a snap ring and a press fit

 

Burn them out

 

Oh in that case, not sure. I bought Moog UBJs but ended up getting tubular UCAs. The bushings on my stock UCA still seemed good.

I'll sell the Moog UBJs if you are interested & aren't a Moog hater.

just be happy with your stock horn. 2002-2004 horns were much better than say the 1998 road runner horns... I'm content. Could always carry around one of these

 

They are easy to replace, it just the snap ring thats dumb

I rarely use my horn. I'm also fine with how they sound. At least they don't sound like a Honda Civic.

 

What's important is that we all give each other shit light heartedly. At least I think we do. I bought his horns cause I wanted to support him as well, hell mine are still in a box, but the quality shows and I'll put em on the Z before I button it up.

Yeah but I think he was also asking about the UCA bushings. The bushings is what I was talking about when I said not sure. Cause I've never had to do them.

I keep one of those refillable horns in my office at work.

 

Yeah I suppose it's where you live too. I live in the city so a lot more honking goes on than in rural areas. But still I don't find myself using the horn that much. I do but rarely & usually it's just a quick tap to wake up the person in front of me that's busy looking at their cell phone.

 

Same here, never new ES or others made poly bushings for the uppers. Would suck when having to relube them without having zerks on the stock UCAs.

 

I wouldn't even think the uppers would wear out. They aren't subjected to a lot of stress, more just a locator. For the price of SPCs I'd just do that and make it easier to change the BJ in the future.

 

Oh yeah, poly bushings squeak like crazy when they run dry. I mean you don't have to if you don't mind the squeak but running them dry will reduce their life.
