I'm looking for an aftermarket exhaust solution for my 2017 Tacoma TRD PRO. The current exhaust is spec'd at 42 db's which is very weak. You can barely hear it when accelerating. I called Corsa's and they currently don't build an exhaust for this model of the TRD PRO. But I'm looking for something more aggressive sounding. I know there has to be an exhaust that opens up and makes a loud, throaty noise when accelerating for this vehicle. Anybody know of any recommendations? Thank you

Noise doesn’t make power. I’ve got the trd exhaust on my 15. It’s simple and clean sounding.

I’m not looking to add power. It’s for sound only. The trd pro exhaust is weak. Like I said it’s spec at 42 db’s. That’s very soft. I just was asking to see if there are any knowledge experts in exhausts for this model of truck. Hopefully someon will have some valuable information.

Flowmaster 40 or super44, will prolly get u lots of noise and drone.
Find exhaust shop, tell em what u want in sound and ask them to do a blind test of three mufflers they suggest. Buy the one u like the sound of, regardless of brand or model.

Dont people want the pro exhaust since its louder than other factory, lower spec trucks?

Yep the original 40 series 2 chamber mufflers sound awesome on all vehicles !!!!

Another good sounding muffler is the Spintech Sportsman muffler

Bro it’s a V6 Japanese truck why you want it to sound like a 5.0 mustang? Get some better tires or something, why waste money on something totally worthless

I welded in a Magnaflow muffler on my 17 dclb trdor, and it sounds pretty damn good. Not loud and raspy and still retaining factory size piping. $100 on Amazon.

Have you thought about just modifying the TRD exhaust to start? Perhaps like cut the exhaust tip off? Idk then perhaps install a turndown? So you would have a shorter tailpipe after the muffler? It could increase the sound... I mean why not experiment with what you have then go out and spend some money....
