I doubt that. I be osu falls so far this week that they dont get back in the conversation even if they beat Michigan.

 

Yall seem to forget about SEC bias. I mean c'mon...our 3rd and 4th ranked teams are usually better than the top of other conferences lol

Well USC and OSU both got blasted today by crap teams. More losses will come to some more "top" teams.

I just wouldn't discount 2 sec teams getting in again, or even a 2 loss LSU getting in depending on how things fall. I mean...lsu has gotten to a title with 2 losses before and won it.

 

ND is likely out of it if they lose a game.

I disagree about La State being able to get in with two losses unless a lot of teams fall apart down the stretch. If Bama, tOSU/Michigan, Clemson, Oklahoma, Texas, ND win out, any one of them will be in ahead of a 2-loss, non conference champion. (I assume Texas would be Big 12 champ if both they and OU win out, right?)

I think it's possible for the SEC to get two in, but the only way it happens this year is if Bama loses close in Baton Rouge and then both teams win out. Even then, it would probably take some help from others.

Well you didnt read where I said it requires losses and timing. If everybody wins out except LSU with one more loss to bama then obviously LSU doesnt make it.

Those uniforms looked really slick last night. My only problem with them was that the numbers were too big, but that's just me being picky. I usually don't like alternate unis, particularly on teams with a classic look, but those were nice.

 

I agree the numbers were HUGE. Something I read said that went back to what fonts were like more so in 1918. Who knows lol.

Yeah the playoffs are interesting but crazy things have happened so I really wouldn't be just downright shocked to see a 2 loss LSU make it, depending on timing and severity of losses.

 

I agree about tOSU, but I'd love to see ND get in the playoff and get drilled by somebody (particularly Alabama.... again)

Also, it's unlikely to happen regardless, but a 6- or 8-team playoff is a little closer to reality if ND gets in because it means that two Power 5 conferences get left out.

 

I would say don’t count out my Dawgs but I’m just not sure I can say that. I guess a lot of that will be determined at the cocktail party and how we respond. We have a lot of talent just very young so we could still be in the conversation. I would like to see a repeat of last year and have a rematch with LSU. I know we are capable of playing them much better just like against AU last year.

With that said, I don’t think anyone has anything for Bama this year barring any potential key injuries.

 

I'm hoping Georgia comes and plays pissed off, lights out against Florida, after the way they played last time on the field. I believe UGA can win out and clinch the east, and I agree with you in that they can (and should have) play LSU better. If a playoff spot happens then that would be awesome (obviously winning out and winning the sec would have to happen), but I think most "realistic Georgia fans know that the youth on this team needs to grow up, and are expecting the next couple of years to be real contenders. I still believe great things are coming.

Now if Bama could stop scoring 21-28 points in the first quarter, and actually make their games worth watching for us non Bama fans that would be great, ok.

 

This. I said after last season I didn’t expect us to be playoff contenders this year. If it happens, awesome. But this team is soooo young. The next 2 years, I feel like we should be playoff contenders.

 

Some early bowl projections Im seeing are showing Texas v uga in the sugar bowl.

I really really really hope that happens.

So, a guy I work with is a huge NC state fan, and his brother works the sideline with the team. His brother told him the NC State QB came off in one of the side line meetings and said "I can't fucking hear anything, what am I supposed to do"?.

He also told me the main goal of the NC defensive front was to hit TL as many times as they could to try and knock him out of the game. Preached during the week by the staff.

I know,hear-say and rumors, but I don't doubt it.
