    hey guys

Looking to potentially add a beater Tundra to the fleet. Farm truck sort of thing.

What do you guys think of this one? Anything specific I should look out for? I know to look for rust etc but I’m way less familiar with the Tundras than I am the Tacos. Price is a bit high for 250k miles but I think the truck looks decent enough.

    Thanks for your help!

do it. you wont be disapointed in a reg cab or AC first gen with the v8 and 4wd. ive heard the DC is nice but sluggish

Wasn't there a regular cab v8 with manual trans option for a short time back when the Tundras first came around? Now that would be a unicorn to find

Was there? I've never heard of a Toyota 8 cylinder backed by a manual in any vehicle. I think that was just 3.4's. I've seen 1 of those.

I'm confused. The add you linked shows a 2nd Gen Tundra. In fact it's the same truck I have. For a farm truck, the 2nd Gen Tundra would be a perfect fit.

I would not want a 1st Gen for the farm.

I use my double cab to haul my 5th wheel RV. The 5.7 makes gobs of power.

Posters above we're referring to 1st Gen Tundras, when the OP showed a link for a 2nd Gen.

Not compared to a 2nd Gen. They don't.

I've owned both. The 2nd Gen gets close to the same MPG but with much, much more power.

    I get 14 and 16 on xway.

My point is I don't think a 1st Gen would be good on a farm.

I'm looking to get a 05 or 06 tundra, I really dont need a double cab but I can't find any access cab in those years out here. I'm not in a hurry, so waiting for the right one to pop up. Probably going to sell the Tacoma first, just too small for my liking anymore.
