Since the invention of the full rear door cab it has been an upsell on every pickup by every manufacturer.

 

I think of PRO or Professional as someone who uses the bed of the truck and likely transports people and materials around a job site. To be clear, I am not a pro.

I am sure that name doesn't represent everyone.
