    Just 3 tons of fun!!!
Started cleaning some of the parts for the 4x4 swap today.

The hubs were coated with baked on grease.

Ended up taking the manual locks apart. Glad I did. The O ring for the dial face was completely rotted. Need to order a new set.

The dials were pretty worked over. Cleaned them up but ran out of day light. Tomorrow I'll spray the dial and trim ring with a bit of spray paint.

Got everything as clean as I need it. Got rid of the better majority of the old grease. I think this will do for me.

Also went to the stealership and ordered the:
    CV snap rings
    CV bolts/washers
    Diff seal
    Manual axle shaft seal
    Diff fill plug
    Diff fill crush gasket
    Diff drain plug
    Diff drain crush gasket

    And ordered the Inner boots

I was going to say 2.75 would be my sweet spot. Sitting at 3.25 currently and still rub frame at full lock. I would love to find 2.75 wheels so I don't need spacers. Spacers make changing CV's slower.

Yes the courtesy lights are in the doors on 95-00 Tacomas. They activate when the door is opened. I changed to 01-04 door panels so I no longer had the courtesy lights, so I reused that circuit for the puddle lights on the mirrros.

Had a mechanic friend tell me yesterday he thinks my input shaft bearing is starting to go out. When I release the clutch and just sitting at idle truck is making a whirling/whining noise. Push clutch in and it stops. Been doing it for a couple years I’d guess hasn’t gotten worse and shifts and runs great.

Is that bearing something that goes out commonly on our trucks? I’ve got 168,500 miles. Read a little on here that some say they often make noise but rarely go out and others say replace immediately. Also I’m not sure if I have original clutch or not, I’ve had the truck since around 124k

mm not sure its the input shaft bearing. Sounds like the more typical throwout bearing. Which chirps all the time on these trucks.

I freakin hate mud, I hate cleaning it, I hate touching it, I hate how sticky it is, and I hate how many different kinds of mud there is.

I cant imagine having a 12.5 tire on top of LT.

That’s a solid knope for me.

Also, when you see it day after day on an adventure, it gets on everything. There is no way to stay completely clean (unless you're Dan). It gets on your clothes, in the cab and in the RTT because its on the outside of the truck. Not to mention having to handle your gear that is in the truck bed. I even found a dollop of mud in my fridge. I have no idea how that got in there.

Looking for radiator replacement input. I have an ‘04, 3.4, 4WD, 5 sp, and 20 3/4” between the tanks. Rock auto has a Spectra premium for $82, a Denso (automatic) no measurement given for 92 and Amazon has a Mishimoto AT, no measurements given for $135. Not my daily driver, but my pride and joy. Input welcomed.
