You don't have to justify yourself, bro. We all have guilty pleasures hidden away from anyone to see. We all have vices. Yours is NASCAR. Mine is punk covers of Lady GaGa and Kesha songs.

    Fuck the haters.

I also like the original versions.

Drops go into her bowl, unless you're wanting to blow up the bathroom before she does.

Almost got into it with some fuckwit wearing a full Air Force ACU standing at a bus stop. Pants weren’t bloused, hat was too far back on the head...and then I noticed the goatee and crazy eyes. Dude was out there - probably on something - and I just didn’t feel like getting into a possible shooting situation that didn’t need to happen. There’s a lot of homeless on that corner, and someone like that isn’t quite stolen valor. There were no stripes or name tapes, just crazy person probably on drugs.

Robert Baratheon was killed while boar hunting with a spear. Just sayin’.
My favorite was pan-seared Gambel’s quail with wild rice, mushrooms, and broccoli. Damn good.
Phalanx is no good for game birds (nothing left to eat)but I can imagine how effective it’d be against a giant flock of Mexican grackles. Hate those fuckers.

We are phasing out the ABUs and are phasing in the multicams....if he had no name tapes or rank....I'd leave him.

Not just that, but he wasn’t panhandling either. I’ve gotten into it a few times with guys (it’s always guys) holding “homeless vet, please help” signs, only to find that they weren’t vets (and in one case it turned out not homeless, just panhandling as a part time job). I have flyers on how they can get to the clinic, when they need to be there, what room to go to and who to talk to. There are SO MANY PROGRAMS to help homeless vets that there’s no reason for a vet to be on the street unless they WANT to. Even those with bad paper discharges.

I just avoid them now because it’s not worth it for me to lose my cool in that situation. No one wins those fights.

Its intended purpose for me is a "coup de gras" if an animal is down after being shot an unsure if it's done.

Smart to do it from a few feet away. Then again, 9mm to the brain works too.

I feel the same way as you, but at the same time your story makes me sad. A significant percentage of the homeless population are impoverished former service members. I'm not saying that this is the case in your encounter, but that guy might have been trying to live in his memories of a better time when things made sense.

Just a sad and disgraceful situation.
