It's H&I network out of Michigan, 2.4 over air HDTV. It's on for 2 hrs on Saturdays starting at 6pm and Sundays for an hour at 7pm. So, 45 mins from now!

I sing the theme song to my wife...she thinks I'm weird. She doesn't understand. *sigh*

 

Desert driving you say?



The first was great and the second was pretty good as well, imo.

 

Well, now you have to clarify that statement a lil, cuz here in North America the second was released first, then followed by the first...IIRC, but then again pot is legal in Canada now, so I'm happy to recall things period!

Nope, in New York "Mad Max" was out for about a week...went with a couple of my friends and we all had not seen anything so cool, so raw before.

They did re-release after The Road Warrior though

Watched Mad Max a few weeks ago, still fuckin great!

 

I missed the release of that one, my friend and I were too busy offroading on dry lake beds and in Joshua Tree NM in the desert a lot with his dad’s Vista Cruiser pretending we were driving our land speeder on Tatooine.

 

Yeah, that sounds like fun.

I did other things, fun also.

I read the Carlos Castaneda books when I was young.... really wanted to get some desert experiences in but didn't get out there until I was married with children so I was in a different phase.

Really like the desert environment though.

Ever had the experience of sitting in the highschool photo class darkroom watching your prints develop with your girlfriend? You missed out.

 

We sorta ran out of fun though, his dad had to sell it afterwards and I had to get a job at UHaul for the summer to help pay for it.

Fringe benefit of working at UHaul? Free truck rentals!! Yeee Haw! Sucks gas though driving a truck like that very far for fun.

 

Missed that- can’t... garage fire in ‘80 took out my school and personal photos, thats where I had my home darkroom But I do have some Super-8’s of when I released about two dozen sidewinders on a sand dune above where a guy was parked by accident. Will have to post it on YouTube, its pretty funny. Think that reel also has a few animation scenes of C3P0 walking in the desert and my brother’s X-Wing blowing up.
