Those are awesome if you can get your hands on one. I redid my back room area, new insulation all around, sealed around windows, etc. I used that as the base line because I knew it was done right and as good as it was going to get. Surprisingly, the rest of the house was pretty damn good. My house was built in 1906 but had blown in insulation done sometime before we bought it. There was some settling of the insulation below the windows, but not bad at all. Those cameras will really highlight all of you high heat loss areas in a hurry.

No, I wish I had reasonable access to one. Would give me a strong idea where to continue from here.

From here this week, gonna get mass save in here to start their crap as well.

I need to call them too. Bought this house about 3 years ago and feels drafty in spots. They did about 18” of blown insulation in the attic a couple years before we bought it.
Walls have 2x6 studs so they were well insulated when built (1988). Father in law built the house so we have all the blueprints and build specs.

The only thing I ran into with Mass Save that stunk (and I still need to figure out the best way to fix) was that their insulation / air sealing on my house was so good that I don't have enough draft in my furnace anymore. The cellar door will get pulled closed when the furnace turns on and I'll get a whiff of exhaust smell going through the vents.

I checked my whole house with a 3 gas meter from work that shows PPM levels so I'm not worried about that, but with the little one starting to motor around I can't leave the cellar door open anymore as easily. I know the solution would be to add a fresh air inlet in the cellar, but that kinda defeats the purpose of having the cellar sealed. I haven't given it a thought at all yet what to do...one of of these days.

Depending on your burner(assuming oil), you can get an outdoor air kit for it.

Another, and better option, would be an ERV.
You'll pull in fresh air, over a heat exchanger, and condition it.
When a house/building is that tight, it's good to bring in fresh air. In fact, its code now.

Dom's cousin's. I'm helping Dom out with the whole project. Started Friday night around 7ish. Goes down the road, just needs slight adjustments here and there and to put the front shaft back in it.

Probably Sunday? I don't know. Tons of people want me to go to stuff on Saturday

Yeah like to bob that bed
The original shaft won't work in its stock form. The original shaft went into the front dif that didn't move. You will need to have it rebuilt with a long slip section

Morning everybody. Finally got around to building the rack for winter storage for the truck cap and the camping platform box yesterday. I've been putting it off because we've still been camping, but if I didn't get it done this weekend it was going to have to wait until after deer season (and it might snow before then).
Now I just need to deck and box in the platform underneath the cap and stick the camping platform in there, which I can do pretty easily in about an hour. And I do need to trim the passenger front corner a bit so she can set completely level, thanks to a crook in the cheap-ass Home Depot lumber I used. But it was windy & damn cold outside yesterday, so once I got the cap transferred from the truck to the rack I said "fork it" and went back inside to watch some football instead.

Yeah, heated seat and steering wheel kicked on when I started the truck this AM. And it was still dark when I left the house.
