Its different on the course. Its a 4 hour vacation from life.

Drinking and shooting? Shouldn't be. Shooting is all about honing in your deadly talent. Drinking gets in the way of that. I mean... Ive gone out to the woods, drank a 12 pack, and busted 200 round of .223 plenty of times in my day... it was fun, but it was a waste.

Samesies… I spend my ammo extremely wise. While I was a boarding team member for the Navy, I let loose with the lead. Now, every round is sacred.

Hey now... I took my ASVAB for the corps... My marine recruiter made me join the Navy... He told me and a I quote, "You are too smart for any job I can offer you... and crayons only taste good for so long. I'm going to do you a favor and introduce you to my buddy down the hall and he's going to get you a job that will do you better than anything I can offer you in the marines." And now I'm a washed up E6 in the Navy counting 18 months down til I can grow out a beard again.

I'm scary good at what I do (Fire control RADAR and missile systems contol). I'm appreciative of what he did for me. But boarding is what I loved and I would do anything to go back and do more of it (goat shit aside). I miss it, and what I do now is so unfulfilling. Working alongside aquatic marines and ME coasties is what made my time in the Navy worth it.

I know exactly what you mean man. It seems like nothing I could ever do in the civilian world will ever be as rewarding as the shit I did in the military

My fear of getting out to a T. I have a good chance of going back to a boat and getting back on a boarding team... but that also means being back on a boat. A job I vehemently hate... one I'd have to do for a 5 year tour.

Wait just a minute. You got it all wrong. Window licking is the main meal. Crayons are desert.

Yeah I’ve only been out for a year and some change and I still miss it a lot. I’m definitely glad I’m free of the bullshit and I just keep reminding myself of that.
