So... let's say I installed an auto trans downstream O2 sensor instead of a manual trans one...problem?

Just put it in today but looking at the box afterward it had the part number that Denso lists for the auto trans Tacoma, even though I specified manual at the counter. Should've checked but I'll swap it out once I get the right sensor...was an easy 10 minute job.

But will it cause any big problems for me in the meantime if I run it for a day or two?

i believe its just wire length thats different. sensor should be the same other than that

It was a bit longer and the sensor itself looked slightly different, but the mounting parts and gasket were the exact same. Truck is running fine so I guess I'll see if it throws the code again or not.

 

the automatic one has a slight chance of being infected with truck aids
