Skids and sliders are nice to have - sliders more-so because the trails are so narrow up here. We just did a stock/moderate run with ENH's Yota Fall Run and there were some sections that if you didn't have sliders or skids... well.. yea ouch. I tried my best to spot most of the guys through there but at a point there's no helping the scratch & dent portion of the trail. Even with a lift, full skids/sliders/hc rear I still put some gnarly gashes on my setup.

Great looking truck, there are some light trails in southern mass but not much. If you wanna run trails some weekend post here and we can organize a run.

Been thinking about doing another Rhode island meet up if any one is interested

Another Rhode Island meet sounds like a good idea.

I am busy this coming weekend with the ENH Fall Crawl but I could probably lead a run the following weekend for the RI spot.

Just a fair warning - I am not responsible for damages done to your vehicle if you follow me. Expect pin striping, murky water and the chance of hitting rocks so I suggest skids however many have made it through without them.

Took me a second to see the mountain goats in that second pic... awesome 1st gen!

FWIW, I don't run sliders and just have stock tin-can skids, haven't had damage yet...but I try to be careful about what lines I choose. Not saying armor isn't nice, I just never seem to have the funds. Don't let it hold you back from getting out there

Honestly I wouldn't even want to wheel with you if that's your response to my precautionary statement. That whole forest is probably cake walk for my truck but I still air on the side of caution - especially when it comes to taking new guys out there who are familiar with the area or are in new to them or stock trucks.

It's a cake walk for any vehicle, the state patrols it's in a 2015 Silverado 4wd. Why air down on dirt roads ? I've honestly just had to do it for beach traversing..A stock vehicle will damage following a lifted one that's common sense..

The same reason you air down for wheeling, better ride quality. I was aired down to 12psi at camp in Maine from Friday to Monday and was only doing logging roads

@BananaPeelOut did you get damaged following me through the last fall yota run?

My statement was to warn people of the possibilities while off roading - this is a standard disclaimer anyone gives for any properly lead trail run stock/mod/challenging.

Nah, I don't think I've broken anything besides some scratches on my frame and crossmembers...

Oh and my driver side mirror that one time
