Not exactly sure why
But in the last few months, been on a 1911 kick

 

I only buy guns when I go out of State on vacation and I do that 2/3 times a year

 

I have 2 more 1911's coming my way in the next week or so myself a TRP 10mm and a matching Colt series 70 in 45 to match the 9mm i just bought....That will put me @ 10

I am also hearing rumor the TRP might be available in 9mm soon and I will have to get one of those as well. Fuck it never stops!

 

Its not that hard to reach that level just takes some perseverance ...

Properly not, but it is a very fine line to walk when I vacation to go into a gun shop cut a deal and get the fuck out before being noticed when the other half is close by. The guys in the shop are like WTF when I come in with a copy of the FFL CC number and tell them I want the best price now on this gun I will buy it and ship it here and walk out.

 

hey fellas, so i just got a 30-06 over the weekend, its pretty old from what i can tell, its the original wood stock and it DID have a scope on it but the previous owner decided to keep it, oh well.. i'm not well versed in the scopes that are available so if anyone can recommend a few that'd be great..my budget is around $500 and i need it to be easy to maintain and user friendly.. where i live the best i can reach out to is around 600 feet..would love more but oh well maybe one day...thanks in advance

He just called me and said some guy just came in gave me your FFL bought two guns and was outta here in 10 minutes is this some fucking joke! He said nope its all legit just ship the guns here please...

 

600 feet or 600 yards? if 600 ft you could get away with anything really. Depends what you want to do with it. A 1-6 (or 1-8) would be a good option. A 2.5-10 would work great. Or a 4-16 if you plan more for target shooting.

As for scope...youll need a rail and scope rings. Or a one piece mount if they make it for your rifle. But you can do those for under $100. $400 still gives you plenty for a decent scope. Vortex, Athlon, Primary Arms all have good options for under that mark

 

What model? There's not much point in putting a $500 scope on an old Remington 742, for instance, because the rifle itself really isn't a 600 yard gun, and if you're only talking 600 feet there's plenty of $100 scopes that'll cover that with zero issue.
