What have you done to your Tacoma today? 1st Gen Edition

yep what I did with mine, though they were on the bed rack with quickfists. One per side. Used an old tripod legs. Worked well.

 

If it makes you feel better, the first time I was going to do the oil on my wife's Altima I accidentally drained the trans instead of the oil pan.

Yeah I got lucky with the pole setup. Had it lying around (used to be an extendable pool skimmer) and it fits right into the back side of my C02 mount.

 

At least with Toyota, if you cant get a 14mm wrench in it, its not the oil plug.

 

I may or may not have done that on my 99

 

At least on the 99 it's a no harm no foul situation, just add it back. The newer ones you have to perform voodoo to get the trans in the mood for fluid, then more voodoo to measure it, then extra voodoo to pump it up through the bottom of the trans reverse dragon style. It's basically a full wine and dine situation

 

We did just add it back, but it made then trans slip or something, can’t remember Enough to explain, for some reason so we had to get it flushed...

 

Watched her as she rolled into 100k this morning

 

Had to be taken good care of, my alloys were corroded to hell since it was parked outside for 20 years. It also had half the mileage of that truck when I got it.

Didnt have time for a trip this weekend so just took the rig out to some local spots for a full day of dirt n rocks. I definitely need to remember to take off my mudflaps next time. They keep getting bent and I bend them back into place

 

I just took mine off lol

 

Mine got tore off when I got stuck in the snow one time, didn’t know till later.

The power of intense steam cleaning. How did your rotors in the SC look. I know meth before a turbo compressor ruins it in short order but meth before turning rotors is sort of an unknown. I imagine it destroyed the Teflon (not that you need that if you keep running meth though) but has it done anything to the leading edge of the rotors.
