Hey guys any idea how often you need to service a pair of king 2.5’s? Looking to purchase a set with 700# coils but cant decide whether to go with those or the ome bp51. I know the bp51 you can just put on your truck and not worry to much about. Im not going to be runnin these things hard, just daily driving and some offroad on the weekends. I just dont wanna have to service things to often. Thanks.

It really depends on how hard/much you drive it. I'd think they should easily go 40-60K (about the average life expectancy of any good shock) before needing a rebuild for the average person who takes it off-road a couple/few times a month assuming they aren't being used hard.

Weekend warrior-ing a DD you should be about to run them ~50k between service rebuilds no problem.

A trail dedicated 4x4 rock crawler or high speed desert racer about half that or less.

Isn't the BP-51 a much smaller shock sleeved to appear larger VS the King's actual dimension?

I think the DIY kit is like $30 or you can send each Shock in for $120ish. So whenever you have the money lol
