Tacoma - OVTUNE - VFTUNER - Update Info and Original Development

@OVTune , any updates on the MT tune?

 

It's usually the negative interactions that leave the biggest impressions though.

Unfortunately, a lot of patience with tuners isn't something that everyone just has naturally, but is a learned process/quality. When I first became familiar with the tuning process as a customer back when I had my MS3, I was unaware of how such a service worked and within a forum similar to this one, I learned very quickly the kind of process I was getting involved in and how to therefore adjust my expectations appropriately. It's something that all of us have to learn or have learned at some point.

 

Completely understand it. I used to do part-time work at a golf course. Could not even do that without being blamed for weather and bad golfers playing bad golf. FT. Thanks for your work and customer service. Compliments instead of complaints. That is the proper approach.

I am thinking about getting the OVTune package for my '17 Tacoma. I saw they have custom tuner and handheld tuner. I like the handheld tuner, it's more friendly use. But my question is... What do I missed if I choose the handheld tuner over the custom tune? What are the pros and cons. of both?

Handheld tuners are now out of stock. Hope they will available again soon.

If youre running exhaust, intake, or anything like that, the custom tune route is the way to go.

1.05 will work great reguardless.

Nah, I figure if we bug him enough he will let out a few details. Squeeky wheel gets the tune, worked for @MOC221_

 

The way I understand it, the only thing you'll miss with the handheld is the ability to custom tune, but you can get that functionality later by purchasing the logger.

 

Only kind of... eagerly awaiting the next file.

That would be nice for sure...
Still all stock and in 1.03, it's good
But still has some issues like surging a bit when stopped and when giving it throttle from a dead stop or when coasting feels a little harsh and a few other things but still miles ahead of stock tune...
If you could, how does it compare to previous tunes so far...?
