My dog quit chewing on stuff that wasn't hers pretty quick after I spanked her enough. She chewed off the corner of our coffee table that I built... that was it. She never did that again.

yep, same with my dog. he chewed one cord and that's the only thing in life ever. peed once inside, pooped once inside, that's it.

I have 2 mini aussies. 1 turned out to be almost a full size and the other is 35 lbs.

Don’t leave them out when their puppies alone. My door frames and window sills look very nice now. Hurts because this is a brand new house.


But some possible good news, looks like I may be moving again this time to Huntsville for work soon. Maybe I can wheel with y’all sometime soon.

 

It'll be easier if you can get the gf to train her too. My wife is hesitant to punish, and the dog takes full advantage. Piper knows EXACTLY what she can get away with.

She sits and waits for permission to eat when I feed her. The wife constantly gets paw slapped in the face for attention

 

I think my dog did each of those twice... She learned that the outside was hers pretty quick though.

The worst was when we bought a brand new rug and she walked over and started to pee on it to mark it. She got about half way done before I threw her outside. I think that was the last time she ever peed in the house. That was when we had her for about a week or so.

she will help train, I mainly mean I'll be doing the potty training. I don't mind sticking the dogs nose in it's own crap, she's too sweet.

 

My wife wont hesitate to smack the crap out of our dog if she deserves it. Lol. That's very rare though now.

 

man if you catch them mid pee/poop that scars them forever. that's the best way.

We had a harder time with that because the last dog almost completely lost control of her bladder/bowels :/
All things considered, ours did well in learning though. The last place she pee'd was in the bathroom with my wife because the door was left open Poor dog did not think that was a fair punishment, but didn't do it again.

 

probably just meaner...my dog has bad anxiety issues now so who knows what that says...

 

Oh yes. When we first got her we had to watch her from just wandering off in to our bedroom and taking a dump. Its always when they get quiet that things go bad.
