Not exactly today, but 2 days ago.

    I bought it!

    2016 Inferno TRD Offroad

Upgraded from a modified 01 Tundra V8. Loved my Tundra and took it everywhere. But at 296,000 miles and a job that requires reliable transportation, it was time to switch.

[IMG]2016 Toyota Tacoma TRD Offroad - First day home by Michael Rickerd, on Flickr

No extreme plans yet, as I am entirely comfortable with the truck as is, but I do need to figure out which bed and roof rack system to purchase in order to mount my CVT RTT.

    Congrats and welcome to TW!

Best of luck with "no extreme plans as of yet". TW will certainly put that to the test :D

I may have owned roughly 1 dozen of them over the last 13 years.

This was my last and most favorite (not to thread derail, but yeah)

Nice! I had a 87 325IS with an S52 but ended up selling it. Didn't want it to sit around. Such a fun , raw car though.

Beautiful. I have been on R3vlimited forever.

Same story here. Finished it as I graduated college. Was far too raw as I transitioned into adulthood. Sat in the garage too much. So it was sold.

Alright doll-face, c'mon and bore me!
Just finished the Subaru tweeter mod.

I know it's been said many times before, but if there's someone still sitting on the fence... Do eeeeet!

Really easy, and makes a helluva' difference. Only the deaf or extremely hard-of-hearing couldn't appreciate the change.

(One less box in the the mod pile.)

Any tips / tricks for installing solo? I'll probably have help, but it would be nice to know in case the help falls through.

I got mine lifted up to the truck with a plywood board I cut down and balancing on a jack. Super sketch, but it did the trick. If anything, your helper could keep the thing balanced on the floor jack.

I found a box just about the right height to support the front end of the slider. That allowed me to lay on the ground an get one bolt through the back end and then move up front to get another bolt in. Then I used a jack to really hold it tight while I drilled and tightened up the other bolts. Yours looks to be heavier than mine though. ;)

A jack and two jack stands. That's all you should need for a solo install.

Yup, me too! Ended up buying my own tire plugging kit on Amazon just to have on hand just in case.
