    170 is most likely when the tstat starts to open. It does not just open and close. The amount open varies with temperature. My coolant temps were 185 with the 170 tstat. I now run a 160 and see between 170 to 180 coolant temps.

    I think you are on the right track. Maybe not just the jet but it could be a contributing factor. The faster we spin the sc the more kinetic energy the rotors have. Both speeding them up and slowing them down.
    Read this link. It's not our application but effects are similar, especially those with manual trans.

    You know but looking at it some more, if you placed a small roller bearing right where the top bolt of the pulley wrap mod went, it probably could work.

    The actuation of the butterfly is not why I mentioned this mod in the first place and I think people have forgotten that (not directed towards anyone, just a general statement). I mentioned it to ensure that no boost or vacuum could back bleed out of the system since the orfice is so darn tiny. This was to ensure more stable boost and vacuum at all times in the manifold. Being that the bypass valve is the only thing which controls boost and vacuum that little jet directly affects the valve's performance as a whole.

    I have to agree, though that would be a badass setup for a tensioner!

    You could but you shouldn't, as Roost mentioned it is WAY too much tension. I would be on board for it on an 8-10 rib high boost twin screw design, but not ours.

    You know what. I'm going to start researching a mod for Roost's pulley wrap mod. I already have an idea of what route I can go with this if the bearings are small enough. It could potentially add enhanced benefit to wrapping for the main blower pulley itself for even more traction than what it already gets with Roost's mod. Stay tuned.

    Okay so far the smallest idler I could find is about 1.25" in diameter and 3/4" in width which is close to how wide our 5 rib belts are.

    There is an alternative, but the bearing has a width of 1" so there would be substantially more slack.

    In theory the setup will work. The question is if that would create a situation where there is too much tension on the serpentine system. That is the smallest idler I could find available without going custom sizing which would allow much better wrap around for the supercharger pulley. There is also a question of load and strain being placed on the bolt itself being that it would still be M8x 1.25.

    Hey @Roostfactor, I'd like to hear your thoughts on this. Doing this mod would bring the belt below the blower bracket bolt and then a bit more.
