That's cause they do unless you reseal them yourself with love. Which I did so mine don't leak. But yeah rear mains go after 180k or so and the trans on these weighs more than your engine and trans combined so it's a pain to change.

Speaking of which, just heard on NPR over the weekend that Elon Musk was canceling some automated/self-driving Tesla program that's been in the works for a few years, even though a bunch of people have already paid thousands of dollars for it in advance and will most likely not get their money back. He straight up pulled a Pelfrybilt.
