Alright doll-face, c'mon and bore me!
Ha! You call that messy!? You're not even trying.

Tell me about it. There are 4 cats that hang around my place, but mostly when I'm not home. They know what time I leave for work, and what time I get home. In between those times, they sun themselves on the porch. Occasionally, I'll see little kitty paw prints over the hood of my truck. You'd think they'd at least take care of the field mice, but noooooo. Too much bother, I guess.

Nice job on the sliders and skid marks, btw.

I will only plug a tire as a last resort. The last time I used a plug, it started to slowly leak after a week or so. This was 3 or 4 years ago when I was in my '04. Had about 40-50% of the tread depth remaining. I could not find a tire shop willing to to an internal patch for fear of liability if it were ever to blow out. They claimed I "could" have caused damage to the steel belt by removing the item that caused the puncture, and/or more damage with my reaming and plugging tools. I went to another shop and just asked for them to remove the tire from the rim. I patched the tire myself in the parking lot with my own patch kit and tools. Then rolled it back into their shop to be mounted and balanced on the rim.

At that point I decided that if I ever need a patch or plug I will just roll into the shop on the spare and have them perform the repair. If there is a leak or any other problem associated with the repair it will be their problem to correct on their dime. Any argument and I will remind them that it was their policy that dictated they could be held liable. IF they start and finish the repair, I will damned sure hold them liable for any failures of that repair, no matter how minor or severe.

Understand your concerns completely. Have plugged tires in the past with good success but not in recent years. In a pinch and until I can actually replace a damaged tire with the same tire it's a solution that's worked for me. Just like mods we all have our own paths, preferences and choices to make. What might be right for me may not be right for someone else. Life wouldn't be any fun if we were all the same.

The last BFG I plugged lasted 20,000 miles until I sold the truck. Plugs are ok in the right spot. That one was in the groove of the tread and it never leaked. Having said that I picked up a body bolt, on my 1 month old BFG's, and immediately patched it last year.

Like both. I downloaded 2 photos as well but my startup image shows up for a split second and the off screen doesn't at all. Not sure what the issue is. May need to delete and try again.

That's the clean corner! Also, thanks, I look forward to seeing if they're bolted on tight enough!

Just took off my Predator step bars. If anybody wants them, make me a decent offer and they're yours. Tacoma only has 3500 miles on it so the steps are like brand new. I live an hour east of St Louis, right on I-57, between I-70 and I-64. I like things that go bang in case ya have something you wanna trade. Also looking for a topper for a long bed '18 Tacoma and I'd obviously pay boot on that deal...upload_2018-10-22_16-48-41.jpg

Yeah the startup screen is very brief (< 1 sec). To get the off screen you have to hit settings then there’s a button at the bottom center of the screen that you hit to turn the display off. The image doesn’t actually display when the display turns off with the vehicle.

The Cupeez For Cars red door handle area protectors are a pretty good match for Barcelona Red. Camera doesn't think so, but to the human eye they blend right in.

Took a couple minutes. I'm still claiming this as a 1-beer mod. :p
