I am taking a trip this weekend to the National forest. I was looking for help on camping spots and some dirt roads or even some trails that I can hit. Some help would be much appreciated since I am from northern Ohio area.

    Hey @tcBob!!
Can we get this moved to the Kentucky forum?

@tacotruck93 2 guys from Cincy and myself will be there next weekend, good sized event Hosted by SFWDA, ORFW, and Kentucky Krawlers. Sadly, no open spots left, but the gorge is amazeballs any time of year.

Wish I'd seen this a couple weeks ago before I went through the area. Would have been way awesome to explore. Guess a return road trip is in order...

We go as many times we can in a year and weather permitting.
Personally, I done did all the tourist shit many times over in the RRG/Natural Bridge area. So being on the trails is what I want now.

And like Matt said, there are trails that WILL break you or your truck there.

Well at this point my truck just has a bumper and a 2.5 inch lift and some 33's. So I guess I'll play it safe and not do anything that could leave me stuck without help.

Swing by Miguel's or the Slade exit off the Bert T Combs, you might find another wheeler who could show you the ropes/guide you.

@tacotruck93 I think I'm headed out there, Stanton/Slade area, this weekend too for some fall colors and waterfalls. I'm going to the event next weekend but I think colors will be really popping this weekend so dont want to miss it.

I'll send you my planned camping coords for Thursday night if interested.

It's back on the road but probably shouldn't be lol. Needs a lot of maintenance still but I want to camp.

Drove it to AOP and back no problem.

Awesome ! I plan on leaving Thursdays early and trying to see all the colors as well. That's the main reason for the trip.
