All for your Tacoma?

 

From what I've heard it is. You'll get an idea of what shape your motor is in, and if you can go longer on your oil change interval. My buddies company does it on all their trucks, and the anylisis can tell them all kinds of stuff like if a bearing is on its way out or whatever

 

I just changed mine recently, but next change I'm gonna send a sample in, right at 5k miles

 

Meh for $28 worth it for a test. I use Mobil one full synthetic too.

 

One for the PreRunner, one for the 5-Lug, and one for the Merc E320.

 

I would say yes. It shows you things that you would never be able to see with the naked eye.

Really helped me understand how healthy the 5VZ in the 5-Lug is, and if it was worth putting money into.

Reading the comments some more point out the hood scoop is fake.

 

I think cavalry was the old one

 

Has Toyota ever had a functioning hood scoop on its trucks/SUVs (for the US market that is)

 

That's why I wanna do it, get a real idea of the health of my 3.4, and if I can go a little longer between oil changes that's cool too

I think its real on the pro, idk about the rest

 

So it has a snorkel, and a hood scoop to funnel water in?

 

Really? To what possible purpose? Can’t imagine they’d rework the engine just for the very limited pro sales.

 

I didn’t even think about that haha, that’s funny.


Pros get all the ram air

 

If a pro had a snorkel and a scoop one of them is point less.

 

Only pro tacoma gets a snorkel
And its like a 600$ option

But the pro t4r get a roof rack as standard

 

The option is called desert air intake

And besides if you take a new tacoma deep enough that water goes through the scoop im pretty sure you arnt gunna be driving out the other side
