True, but same applies to dust, if you're in dusty enough conditions to want a snorkel I wouldn't want a hood scoop

 

Water is in the engine bay even before it gets that high

 

If you were SC and it was hella hot you woudl want one

 

Stagnant waters different than moving

 

But let us not forget 3rd gen 4 runners got functional hood scoopes and guys don’t complain

Shoot lots of 1st gen taco guys want the 3rd gen runner scope

But he’s supercharged, I feel like that’s be in the way of an air filter.

By functional I mean the hood scoop taking air directly into an air filter, not just putting air in the engine bay

was 2-3 days for me. but they live like 1-2 hours from me lol

 

The 3rd gen 4Runner had a mesh screen in the hood, it didn't run to any filter. So it may cool the engine, but not allow air into the engine.
