Smith&Wesson 638 Featherweight, Shrouded hammer. I don't care for the "enclosed hammer" for carry. You can't cock it for a long shot without a hammer. LOVE the shrouded hammer models.

Similarly to my Springfield, I didn't expect to like them but after spending some time handling and firing FN pistols, I really REALLY like them and the design engineering. At the end of the day though, they're all tools in the toolbox.

Whew! Caught up (again), and am amazed that I didn't shoot myself doing it! Tormenting my FB world with the final solar "Phase". BTW, I made what will likely be the last. updates in my linked thread (until real sun and billing!), if anyone cares. I really can't remember who wanted to see it, but if you just want the "end", go to the bottom, and skip "how I spent the dang summer getting ready".
