That looks pretty cool. Kind of like sliders now. Did you just use a cutting wheel to take the step part off? Then grind smooth and coat with bedliner stuff?

Question on this mod...you connected this wiring harness on the passenger side of the truck. Do you know if this connector is the same as the one on the Driver’s Side? I’m thinking this weekend I will definitely be taking a look at the driver’s side. That is where I am currently tapped into with my tailgate pop & lock.

I actually took a closer look at your pics and I plan on making this harness as well. I feel like I just did a pretty similar wiring harness for my third brake light. I’m definitely warming up to using connectors because it looks so clean with wiring.

I'm not sure it the connector is the same. I ordered 4 sets of connectors which should arrive tomorrow, and will make 3 available for sale.

 

Thanks! I contemplated using a spray on bed liner but I wanted to go with something less permanent so if it gets damaged I can just peel it off any put on a new piece. Works great

Will do. Just be aware I will most likely provide it with flying leads (loose wires) rather than adding a plug like I did with mine since the wires for the Pop & Lock harness will need to be crimped by the end user, unless you have the means to crimp the pins yourself.

 

Installed AVS In Channel Vent Visors. Got them on sale through Amazon warehouse deals + Amazon card rewards so $25 out of pocket. They look pretty good. A couple of small scuffs I can polish out.

 

Is the auto switch for headlights? Aftermarket?

Last time that happened to me. I grabbed pliers and a squirt bottle and headed to the tire shop. Pulled the screw in the parking lot, put soapy water on it. No bubbles and drove off..
