So I was coming home and some kid (just turned 16) pulled out in front of me. So I tried to swerve out of the way but couldn't in enough time.

My brushguard slammed into the front side of his Lincoln ripping off the bumper and send him spinning about a quarter turn right into the sidewalk.

Gotta get an estimate from the insurance company tomorrow...can't even open my passenger door because the front quarter panel got pushed back into where the door swings open. :(

Pics coming as soon as they upload to FB.

He got out of the car almost crying saying his mom was going to kill him.
Come to find out it was his mom's car and it was a lease AND his mom was turning it in at the end of the week.

The police officer talked to his mom for almost 10 mins and hands the phone back to the kid saying "Mom is waiting at home for you. And she's NOT happy"

    I was impressed too.
I totaled my last vehicle when it was raining one night. Rear tire blew and it sent me spinning. Did 3 360's right in the middle of 3 lanes of traffic and sent me sailing over a sidewalk and into bushes and a small palm tree. TORE THE CAR UP. The Toyotas take a lot of abuse.

The ironic part is just a few hours before, I was talking it over with my dad to do some custom bumpers and add onto the brushguard. I'm going to have to take it off the truck and flex it back to it's original shape....unless Alstate wants to buy me an ARB bumper :D

Makes me want to get a grille guard even more now. Or a badass ARB bumper. If someone hits me I wanna eff them all up.

GO ARB!!!!! The cost of the front is (with mine) more than the cost of an ARB. I'm local to ARB USA and picked it up from them on will call so I didn't have to pay shipping but IIRC the damage to my front bumper alone was over $800.

Tell them you want to go aftermarket and do not relent!

Brush guard here held up well and prob saved the truck from extensive damage but I have also learned in the past if the brush guard is hit it can also cause more damage than without it so keep in mind that it can go both ways. I would much rather have an ARB.
