Emergency water restrictions are in effect as of about 18 hours ago. Not that anyone needs to be watering their lawn even when there is ample water as its a huge, massive waste of billions of gallons of water. I never understood why Americans are so fond of having a green lawn. Id not water my lawn at all if it werent for HOA rules. When I see a perfect lawn, all I can think is that there are entire communities in the US with poor drinking water but here we are trying to show up our neighbors for who can keep their lawns all green and perfect. Its stupid and a complete waste of time, energy, and most importantly, water. Just my opinion here.

Agreed!! Anything that requires the same or less water than mother nature provides is better than ridiculously perfectly manicured lawns IMO

 

Havnt washed my truck in nearly a month. Probably saved the city a bunch of water. I never water the lawn (no HOA) and I only flush after 2 poops!

Obviously a case of YMMV. I like having a yard, as do my pups. If I wanted gravel, I'd move to New Mexico. And present company excluded, of course, but a fair amount of those anti watering folks are simply lazy f*cks that don't want to mow, or broke ass turds that can't afford the water bill. Or both.

I don't mind if people want grass. But I think it is silly when people want grass that is not indigenous. Sure grass native to the PNW is lush and green but it also rains 3 times every day.

But then again, ultimately I don't care. It is your choice so

I mean, there are bigger things to be annoyed with.
