$1,600 a month for that is ridiculous.

Is that all they are? They must have come down in price, my buddy has one that looks similar and I think it's retail was like 7k. That was probably 10 years ago though

I see them for sale brand new on Craigslist for $1,800. And that'a California price.

    https://sfbay.craigslist.org/nby/fod/d/triumph-two-post-lift-9k/6729965367.html

If my garage had a high enough ceiling, I would have one already. I actually have a neighbor down the block who has a full sized two post lift in his small residential garage.

The 4Runner scoops are not functional to let air in the engine area. They have a dummy screen
to make you think they are functional and it’s blocked off behind the screen. The hood inset is blocked off at the back as it’s one piece of plastic or actually fiberglass.

To make it functional you take the hood insert out of the hood and cut the back blocked off section behind the screen. Then you drill holes in the screen and insert to hold the screen because it was press fitted before
into the dummy back section that is now cut out.
Then the insert section fits into the hood and bolts from the underside of the hood
    It’s very simple.

Well, as luck would have it, I need to bleed my brakes more. On hard stops, the pedal feels like it has bubbles of air behind it. As more luck would have it, I dont have time to deal with it myself today, or this week at all. Gonna pay a shop $100 for a system flush and bleed. Piece of mind I guess. Especially since I have a 200 mile trip planned this weekend.

@BartMaster1234 I just finished reading through your manual-to-automatic window and mirror conversion. Needless to say, my head hurts now. And it probably doesn't help that I was reading it while also listening to a chemistry lecture and trying to focus on both.

Well bad luck turns to worse luck. It appears I have a bad master cylinder. The pedal pops when you press it down for a hard stop. The mechanic bled some air out, but the issue is still there. He said to drive it and see if it gets better. He said that since the vehicle sat for so long, something could be binding in the piston like rust. Truck has no issue stopping so far but I guess running fluid through the system loosened some junk up.

I remember sitting down at my kitchen table with the FSM, and the four wiring pigtails. I started labeling each wire and finding out what each one does.

@mechanicjon helped lots with it. Couldn’t have done it without him.

It would be nice to do the conversion on my truck, but unless it's let's complicated than what you had to do, it probably won't happen any time soon. I have a 2001 ext cab wouldn't have to do the '98-'01/'04 conversion like you did. Would that take some of the work out of it?

Still the same amount of complicated. Only difference between the two model revisions is the exclusion of courtesy lights, and inclusion of tweeters.

I also noticed from your thread and others that some people already have the wiring harness available to use and some don't. What's the easiest way to check that? And I'm guessing the odds of having it are pretty low.

Pull the kick panel off and check for an open connector above the speaker connector.

Usually if you do have it, you have to do a lot of fudging with the integration module to get it to work. It’s never truly plug n play.

I make power window/keyless entry/remote mirror retrofit kits, I just haven’t had time to make one in a while.

Actually those are cheaper than some RTTs, and look even more comfy. Only issue for me would be that I don't want to be dragging a trailer along some of the camping trails I do. On some of those trails, it would flat out prevent me from going on them. That's a cool concept though especially if you're into dirt bikes or ATVs
